Meghan Reynard

Blending analog and digital technologies, Meghan Reynard makes works of sculpture, installation, photography and video that utilize light to explore perceptions of natural and spatial phenomena. Developing from practices in art, architecture and design, and research into perceptual psychology, optics, and the environment, Meghan’s work addresses and responds to unease in the relationship between humans and their physical environments.

For the LUX conference, Meghan will discuss past projects and the role darkness plays in eliciting sensations of disorientation, fear, and a resulting heightened sensory awareness in the experience of her work.  Meghan will also introduce her current research on the interplay between daylight and the environment, investigating questions on how perceptions of daylight contribute to our sense of space, place, and the passage of time.
